Day 1 After arriving at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, you
will be met by a representative and transferred to SUN CITY RESORT (±two
hours) from Johannesburg. On arrival, the event organisers will be on
hand to meet you and assist with check in.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the pool or visit the
Valley of the Waves. We kick-start AGSI this evening with a welcome in
true African style in the Royal Chamber at the Palace Hotel.
Day 2 Enjoy breakfast at leisure,
after which you will transfer to the Lost City Golf Course for a 09h30
shotgun start.Your round of golf includes a bucket of balls to warm up
with, as well as halfway house and a shared cart with water.
The theme for dinner is international Evening, where the
chef will prepare meals representing all the participating countries.
Wear clothes that represent your country or simply dress in the colours
of your flag. After dinner, join in for an evening of sing-along with
our regular band and show your moves on the dance floor.
Day 3 We return to the Lost City Golf Course for round two.With our unique
handicapping system in place, we level the playing field so that
everyone has a chance of winning the coveted AGSI jacket.Your round
includes halfway house and a shared cart with water, and today is a
shotgun start at 09h30.
After freshening up at the hotel, you will be transferred to
the shebeen. Here a typical braai (BBQ) awaits you to satisfy your
hunger with an array of delicious meats on offer. In addition, you will
be invited to join the African drumming team as they teach you how to
play a local drum by hand - an unforgettable experience.
Day 4 An early morning start is in order if you want to catch the African
bushveld as it wakes from its slumber.The neighbouring Pilanesburg
National Game Park is home to the Big Five — lion, leopard, rhino,
buffalo, and elephant, as well as numerous plains game.
Return to the hotel for breakfast and enjoy a day of
relaxation and exploration of SUN CITY. In the late afternoon, we gather
at Lost City for the traditional putting competition where one lucky
participant could win their entry to 2018's AGSI by making a 'simple'
putt. As the sun sets the night shootout begins, where brightly coloured
golf balls will decorate the night's sky as attempts are made to hole
out from 110 metres. Delicious finger snacks will be served while a
resident DJ and cash bar will keep the atmosphere going.
Day 5 Designed by Gary Player, his
eponymous course has hosted all the major golf names, including
Els,Woods, Nicklaus, among many others.The venue for an annual European
event, this walking-only course is a test for players of all
abilities.Your designated caddy will assist you around this unique golf
course. This evening, join the events team in the Gary Player Club House
for a prize-giving followed by dancing to the sounds of a local band.
Day 6 All good things come to an end, and for those departing it will be a
fond farewell. For those who just cannot bear to leave, there are
optional extensions, including additional nights at SUN CITY or the
opportunity to move down to CapeTown or FANCOURT for further golf. And
for those who want something unique, there is the ROVOS RAIL Golf
Adventure or simply retreat on a safari at one of the numerous lodges
within easy reach of SUN CITY.

The third edition of the Africa Golf Safari Invitational makes its
debut at Sun City and what a week we have planned for participants! With
36 holes on the lost City Golf Course, 18 holes on the Gary Player
Country Club course, as well as our annual putting, chipping, and night
golf shootouts, there is plenty of golf on offer.
With so much to do at Sun City, participants will have plenty of
opportunity during the day to explore the Resort’s myriad facilities
when not on the golf course. And come sundown, we have included a
variety of functions in fantastic locations every evening, to ensure the
legendary camaraderie of the "AGSI" event flourishes at its best. Enjoy
African Marimba bands, karaoke, drumming, and festivities at the
'Shebeen' (a traditional South African drinking house) while not
forgetting the famous nightclub and casino at Sun City.
